it’s a team full of ballers soon to be owned by a shady russian bigtimer, some other dudes and jay-z. never in my adult life have they done anything of merit, even with all-star players on their roster and proven vets as playing captains. WHY would someone want to go to a team that is basically useless, even WITH franchise players? new jersey will always be to new york what the san fernando and san gabriel valley is to los angeles and that is a vast wasteland full of hot girls and drugs. if they get the number one draft pick this year (which is VERY likely & I’m assuming that they are throwing games for this exact reason. if john wall goes in the draft, WTF do you need Lebron or D.Wade for? do your research, sports fans), ANY other 1-2 franchise players available in the off season (this year is the craziest free agent year in basketball history) AND a new home court in NYC, then you basically have a new team. this would be perfect for some rich foreign dude to invest in, since all of this is already happening without the massive cash infusion needed for it to “just, happen” of it’s own disaccord. oh shit, did I just drop a hint?
