(poached from shitty and superamiga, this is one of the most influential records of my life and the first time I heard of Sonic Youth. I was 9 and in a shitty motel with my mom and uncle and teenage riot came on the radio. I’m from L.A., so it was KROQ that was on. I remember the sun shining through the curtains in the other room and my mom telling me that the song I liked was on. now the memory looks like it has the same film grain and aging as the washing machine cover, like those old calvin klein CKone commercials with the young model standing against the wood paneled wall. then they dropped goo to the masses and I wondered how/why they did a song with Chuck D.

I STILL want to put a record out on Blast First. That was like, my favorite label for ill shit as a young man. the discog is cold and holds half of human history.
