okay, day 3 of being a hermit and a myth in full effect. my stepdad told me that being a starving artist is burnt, he’s a crip of olden time so I have to hear him out.
I like the idea of literally staying hungry in relation to creative output. It keeps you realistically grounded, versus the sort of ‘grounded’ you get when you are successful as fuck and you only surround yourself around people that you would bail out of jail. Going from here to there, you see the definition of the typical art maniac warp and shift. It’s way easier to be all into your art when you get a monthly stipend to do just that.
Being from Los Angeles, we have the same population in L.A. county that Sweden has as a country. This means that there are lots of people starving to become starving artists, willing to do WHATEVER that entails.
