I saw this before somewhere but I figure that this is a great way to bring in the fade out of the new year, so to speak.

it’s for dudes. I have no idea how I got into it or exactly when but this is by far and away, my favorite cologne and has been for 11 years. I feel like hugo, that old ck one scent, all those ‘citrusy’ smells are just knock-off versions of this bad, bad man of a fragrance.
I used to always describe it as smelling like sprite and heaven but whoever wrote this passage on some perfume site broke the M.O. the fuck down:
“L’Eau d’Issey for Men is a woody aquatic fragrance with yuzu as in top notes, along with notes of bergamot, lemon and tarragon. A middle note is spicy and woody: nutmeg and water lily are an exciting and unexpected accord in this composition. An end note carries an intense woody scent which is sharp and enriched with tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and musk. It was created by Jacques Cavallier in 1994.”
I’m going grape ape over on my phone based photo blog, please:

2. follow the blog
3. tell a friend, reblog, whatever as long as you share!

(poached from shitty and superamiga, this is one of the most influential records of my life and the first time I heard of Sonic Youth. I was 9 and in a shitty motel with my mom and uncle and teenage riot came on the radio. I’m from L.A., so it was KROQ that was on. I remember the sun shining through the curtains in the other room and my mom telling me that the song I liked was on. now the memory looks like it has the same film grain and aging as the washing machine cover, like those old calvin klein CKone commercials with the young model standing against the wood paneled wall. then they dropped goo to the masses and I wondered how/why they did a song with Chuck D.
I STILL want to put a record out on Blast First. That was like, my favorite label for ill shit as a young man. the discog is cold and holds half of human history.

I’m glad that electronic music fools kick it like this now. it’s like hanging out off panel at one of those villain meetings. I’m glad folks brought back dark ways…
